One common method for removing coffee stains from teeth is brushing with a baking soda paste. Ingredients can include a simple solution of baking soda and water, or baking soda and 3% hydrogen peroxide. Some people find that adding a small amount of salt to the mixture increases its effectiveness. Using a small re-sealable container, add a good amount of baking soda followed by a few drops of 3% hydrogen peroxide or water. Mix to form a paste and then brush with the solution using a soft-bristled toothbrush.
You may also choose to use commercial solutions or treatments such as teeth whitening strips. However, it is a good idea to ask your dentist about other potential culprits so that you can find the most effective solution.

Preventative tips such as flossing, brushing regularly, quitting smoking, getting regular checkups and cleanings from your dentist, eating a healthy diet, and reducing your consumption of coffee or other beverages—tea, red wine, or soda—that cause stains will all benefit the health, longevity, and appearance of your teeth and gums.
